Grady Jones No. 6 Model 55 1928 Roundneck
Grady Jones was known as a player, enthusiast, and collector of resonator guitars. He was a personal friend of John Dopyera and many players including Josh Graves, Mike Auldridge, Jerry Douglas, and Tim Graves.
Grady was an early investor in the Dobro company and had over 100 guitars in his collection. Both of Mike Auldridge’s Regal/Dobros (#401 and #426) were purchased from Grady. These were the instruments Mike made famous on his recordings up to the early 1990's.
Grady passed away in 2015 and Beard Guitars has been entrusted to sell the remainder of his collection. Each instrument has been refurbished at the Beard shop and brought back to playable, collectible condition.
