The Southside is the do-it-all guitar of the Deco lineup. Slightly larger than a Sidecar, the mid-size Beard “A” body shape is visually unique and still very comfortable to play. The solid spruce top with mahogany Aero-X bracing provides a rich, balanced sound that is incredibly even across the frequency range. If you are looking for a versatile go anywhere, do anything instrument, the Southside is it. Made of solid mahogany, it features a Morado fingerboard, grained ivoroid dots, and contains a double action truss rod. In unison with the Deco resonators, Deco acoustics have a unique scale length of 25 inches. This slightly shorter scale length results in less string tension which in turn allows for a lighter more responsive top without compromising structural integrity.
